Pierrot XXI
Synopsis
A magical performance by Clara Barbier Serrano and Ensemble Matters of 'Pierrot XXI', an alternative take on Arnold Schönberg's Pierrot lunaire, in which the 21 pieces are ordered according to the drawing of tarot cards at the performance.
'Pierrot XXI' is curated and sung by Clara with Ensemble Matters, and co-produced by Community Jameel for the Bloomsbury Festival.
Clara, who is now studying at the Conservatoire de Paris, was the inaugural recipient of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation x Community Jameel scholarship at the Royal College of Music in London until her graduation in 2022.
