Celebrating 20 years of J-PAL
Synopsis
The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) celebrates 20 years of building rigourous evidence to inform policies for poverty alleviation with an event focused on the lab's insights and impact on 4-6 January 2024 at Bikaner House in New Delhi, India. The event, organised by J-PAL and with partnership from Community Jameel and the Institute for Financial Management and Research, includes sessions with J-PAL co-founders, co-directors and 2019 Nobel laureates in economics Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo and features the launch of 'Shaping policy, transforming lives', an immersive exhibition showcasing two-decades of impact through stories, visuals and artefacts from J-PAL South Asia partners, including BRLPS-Jeevika, Farmers for Forests, Medha, Indus Action, Karya, Pratham, SCARF, Obeetee Carpets and Seva Mandir, which runs until 7 January. The Aagaaz Theatre Trust performs on 6 January at 12h30 and 15h30.
