Linus Mofor is a senior environmental affairs officer at the African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and an advisory committee member of the Jameel Index for Food Trade and Vulnerability (Jameel Index). Supported by Community Jameel, the Jameel Index is a research project launched by the Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology which is studying the implications of climate change on food security and how they relate to trade.
In his role at ACPC, Linus leads the energy, infrastructure and climate change portfolio, with an emphasis on climate resilience, clean energy transition, sustainable infrastructure development and implementation of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement, among other areas. Linus has previously held positions at the Commission from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Vienna's Energy and Climate Change Branch of UNIDO and University of Glamorgan (now the University of South Wales) in the UK.
