This software tries to spot lung cancer years earlier. Can it?

Researchers at MIT Jameel Clinic and Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital have created an artificial intelligence tool, called Sybil, that could predict whether a person will get lung cancer up to six years in advance, paving the way for doctors to spot tumors that are notoriously hard to detect early. Though research is increasing, scientists say more testing needs to be done before fully unleashing these products into clinical settings.
