Inteligencia artificial promete detectar el cáncer de pulmón antes que las tomografías, según expertos
Scientists from the MIT Jameel Clinic and Massachusetts General Hospital, including Jameel Clinic's AI faculty lead, Regina Barzilay, have developed a new AI tool which can detect the first symptoms of lung cancer even before they are noticeable on a CT scan. Named Sybil, in honour of the sibyls, who were prophetesses in Greek and Roman mythology, the first results of studies released last January indicated that the tool predicted whether a person could develop cancer over the course of a year with an accuracy of between 86% and 94%.
