South-led science and climate adaptation
The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) spoke with Guyo Roba, head of the Jameel Observatory, and Appolinaire Djikeng, ILRI director general, after a side event at the Africa Climate Summit, where both individuals appeared as panelists at a side event titled, 'Investing in south-led science and innovation for a just and equitable climate finance framework.' In his remarks, Guyo discusses the importance of research that is embedded in a local context, led by local stakeholders and aligned to a community's challenges.
