Experts debate: How should AI be regulated?

Ahead of the world's first AI Safety Summit, which will take place in the UK in November 2023, UN Chief Antonio Guterres has stated that governments alone will not be able to regulate AI, and called for a global entity to monitor the technology. At the same time, US President Joe Biden has called for greater international cooperation on the matter. Regina Barzilay, AI faculty lead at the MIT Jameel Clinic, the epicentre of AI and health at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology joins Dr Mathilde Pavis, AI Lawyer and Lecturer at the University of Exeter in the UK who debate the importance and considerations of regulating AI.
