Jameel-Toyota Scholarship

The Abdul Latif Jameel-Toyota Endowed Scholarship was established in 1994 by Community Jameel to help young people achieve their potential at one of the world’s leading academic institutions.

Jameel-Toyota Scholars come from over 25 countries globally across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa and receive financial aid for undergraduate study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Over 190 scholars from 27 countries since 1994

Students and alumni remain connected via a vibrant global network

Tanweer Jameel was launched in 2005. Every year, Community Jameel partners with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Labour and Social Development and Saudi Airlines as the official carrier to reward orphaned children aged 14–18, who have consistently achieved high levels of school performance, with an annual trip abroad.
