Hassan Jameel

President, Saudi Arabia, Community Jameel

Hassan Jameel is President, Saudi Arabia of Community Jameel, a social enterprise organisation formally established in 2003 to continue the Jameel family's tradition of supporting the community.

Community Jameel is dedicated to social and economic sustainability in the Middle East and beyond through a wide range of initiatives, including job creation, arts and culture, global development, education, and health and society. This notably includes Bab Rizq Jameel, an award winning international job creation initiative, and several leading initiatives established in partnership with MIT, such as the MIT Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL), which recently launched a major refugee education initiative in the Middle East, the MIT Abdul Latif Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health (J-Clinic), which seeks to revolutionise the prevention, detection and treatment of disease and the MIT Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) which takes an evidence-based scientific approach to reducing poverty across the globe.

Hassan Jameel is also Deputy President and Vice Chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel, where he heads domestic operations, including automotive, land and real estate, and machinery. Hassan Jameel is a member of the board of Abdul Latif Jameel.

Mr. Jameel holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan, and gained an MBA from the London Business School.
