Nesreen Sharara

This bookmark uses natural veneer and is inspired by mashrabiya screens. Literally meaning “place of drinking” in Arabic, an original function of these screens was to cool drinking water.

Nesreen Sharara, founder of Muzhir, is a graduate of the Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Cairo, a programme delivered by The King’s Foundation in collaboration with Community Jameel and the Cultural Development Fund of Egypt.
