J-PAL's Air and Water Labs address air and water issues in Africa, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and South Asia by co-generating evidence-based solutions with government partners. These regions face severe air and water crises, impacting health and longevity. The labs enhance policymakers' access to data, co-design targeted policies, and support effective solutions through pilots and evaluations. Initiatives include SARWA in India, WAE in South Africa, and HAPIE in Egypt, aiming to improve clean air and water access.
