Nathan Jensen

Nathan Jensen, based at the University of Edinburgh’s Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Systems, is a senior research fellow for Jameel Observatory for Food Security Early Action.

Nathan's work in applied economics focuses on poverty reduction, resilience to shocks, the role of social protection and financial tools and innovative data collection among pastoralist communities in the Horn of Africa.

Nathan holds a bachelor's in physics from Luther College in Iowa, an master's in agriculture and applied economics from the University of Missouri, and a PhD in applied economics and management from Cornell University.
