Catherine Lu

Catherine Lu is an Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) 2023 Travel Grant recipient and a master’s student in the department of civil and environmental engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Catherine's research focuses on hydrology and water resources, specifically modeling and predicting agricultural droughts in Angola using satellite Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) data.

Catherine holds a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from MIT.
