The MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Start-up Competition was launched in 2006, in collaboration with MIT, with the intention to provide entrepreneurs in the Middle East with a platform for exposure to support start-ups and to encourage innovation.
Since its launch, the competition has attracted more than 100,000 participants and about £524,000has been awarded in seed funding. To date, the competition has helped to launch more than 300 knowledge-based and technology-driven start-ups, creating over 2,000 jobs in the region. Additionally, a further 2,000 entrepreneurs have received top-tier training by regional and global experts to assist them in their future business ventures.
With this competition, we provide entrepreneurs with the much-needed platform for exposure, networking, learning, knowledge sharing, coaching, and receiving valuable mentorship.
